DISTRICT EMPLOYEMENT & COUNSELING CENTRE
District Employment and Counselling Centre Bandipora is headed by Assistant Director Employment. It aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by providing career counselling, organizing job fairs, and connecting unemployed youth with Government initiatives which offers support for entrepreneurship, skill development, and self-employment opportunities through Mission YUVA.
Functions of the Department
- Registration of Unemployed Youth
- Career Counselling & Guidance
- Providing counselling to youth about career options, competitive exams, public/private sector opportunities, and self‑employment.
- Jobs / Placement Facilitation
Organizing job fairs, employer‑jobseeker matching, collecting information from employers on vacancies, helping connect jobseekers with employment opportunities.
- Awareness Programmes
Conducting outreach, awareness camps of Mission Youth Schemes and Mission YUVA
