FLORICULTURE

The Floriculture Gardens & parks department has a mandate of maintenance of parks/ Gardens above ten Kanals of land and implementation of CSS schemes MIDH & ATMA( Agriculture extension) for the promotion of Floriculture and generation of employment in the district.

Famous Parks and Gardens maintained by the Department are Wullar Vintage ParkGaroora, Nishat Parkand Mini secretariat lawn Bandipora.

Floriculture Department Bandipora implements floriculture part of the central sponsored schemes Viz. Mission for integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and Agriculture Extension (ATMA) provide subsidy and organize trainings/exposure visits( within district/within state/outside UT), demonstrations, kissan Goshties,etc to the registered growers. Subsidy as per the approved action plan and scheme guidelines is provided for the infrastructure/components Viz. establishment of tubular Poly House, Shade Net House, Vermi Compost Units, Tube Well, small Nursery, High Value plant Material, aromatic Plants etc.

The person has to approach the office with the revenue extract of land(Girdawari/Jamabandhi), Adhaar card , bank passbook, photographs, affidavit for his registeration with the Department of Floriculture Bandipora.

Subsequently ,the Asstt. Floriculture Officer Bandipora and Field functionary (MTS) will visit the location to ascertain/check the feasibility of land for floriculture activity and the documents will submit the recommendation to the floriculture Officer Ganderbal/Bandipora for registration of the Applicant as Grower.
