SHEEP HUSBANDARY

District Sheep Husbandry Office Bandipora was established in April 2007. It is headed by a District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) & comprises of three Sheep and Wool Development organizations/ offices  viz SDO Bandipora, SDO Gurez and SDO Hajin which inturn consists of  11 Sheep Development Blocks  viz  Aloosa, Mantrigham , Kunan, Gamroo, Ajas, Hajin, Sumbal, Naidkhai ,Bagtoor, Buduaab & Tulail.  The field organizations are headed by Veterinary Assistant Surgeons at Sheep Development Block level, monitoring work of 44 Sheep Extension Centers (SECs) and 7 First Aid Centres (FACs).
